"His greatest battle begins"....in the next movie. I swear, everything in the trailer was the good part. Im gonna skip the original "Here's my review of this movie" crap, because I got a lot to say and it's not all pros. The pros about this movie are how the begininng was the only exhilirating part of the movie and how they try and make you warm up to Gwen Stacy. Now here are the cons and then I'll go straight to the completetly stupid parts. First off, The Rhino isn't even in the movie, well he is but not how you think. See him in the trailer? Yeah that's all you see of him. He's in the beginning, but he's just driving a truck. Second, the whole plot is just EVERYWHERE. They introduce something or somebody new and have to get back to it later. The beginning shows what happened to Peter's parents and then they leave us hanging until they have Spider-Man finding Splinter's lair or something in the subway where Peter's dad left him a message saying how the spider juice only has his and Peter's blood. Finally, Gwen Stacy. In the first movie I didn't even care about her, but this movie was set up to have us like her at the end. If they were to have made us like her in the first film, it would have been drastic to people who actually liked her, but comic readers (like myself) knew she was gonna die either in this one or the next. Now for the stupidest things. First, Electro shoots dubstep lasers, and when he gets finished off, it's basically how Dan Akroyd gets the ghosts from Ghostbusters. He seemed cool when he got introduced to the movie, but right when he started hating Spider-Man made no sense. He just hated him ammediately when Spider-Man showed up on the Times Square screen. The dubstep played everytime he was fighting and he even played the itsy bitsy spider by slamming Spider-Man into pillars. The Stan Lee cameo was also another thing. It just had him sitting there in the graduation crowd, and when Peter shows up he just says, "I think I know him."...BUT THAT'S IT. I sat there in theatre confused if he was gonna say more, but he didn't and I was sad. Lastly, every villain just flat out names themselves. I know certain heroes like Batman, Iron Man, etc say there name. But I don't remember any villains except Loki and the Mandarin saying there names. I mean you don't see a Batman movie where The Joker is just like "I'M THE JOKER!!!" In this movie each villain says it EXACTLY like that. The Rhino, Electro, and Green Goblin. Sony, if you're going to make a good superhero movie, don't have SO many villains and try not to put in completely stupid parts that will make everyone facepalm in the theater. Well I give this movie a 4.5/10. The fight scenes were cool but I got tired of dubstep and cheesy lines. So if you wanna watch it, be my guest, or you can see a GREAT movie like Captain America: The Winter Soldier. Oh, and thanks for the end credits scene of X-Men. A franchise that will NEVER show up in the future Spider-Man movies. ehh....i'm done. Go watch Spider-Man 3, a movie that's BETTER than this one.
